Fantasy Baseball for Beginners.
"Many people think they can pick players better than the real coaches, and Fantasy Baseball lets them try their hand. "Fantasy Baseball for Beginners: The Ultimate 'How-to' Guide" is from Sam Hendricks, author of a Fantasy Football book in the same vein, applying his expertise this time to America's pastime. With a certain flare and wisdom, Hendricks explains everything you need to know to do well and succeed in fantasy baseball, stating a clear understanding of official MLB and traditional fantasy baseball rules. "Fantasy Baseball for Beginners" is a fine read, well worth considering for those who want to break into the hobby."

Award-Winning Author Sam Hendricks Bests 92 Other Fantasy Football Prognosticators
FOREST, VA. – March 6, 2013 – Extra Point Press is pleased to announce that award-winning author Sam Hendricks won the 2012 Fantasy Index Open. The Fantasy Index Open is a prognosticating contest sponsored by Fantasy Index Magazine. The contest is open to "anyone who wants to show what they've got" according to their website, FantasyIndex.com. This is the second year of this competition and Sam Hendricks was confirmed as the winner in January 2013.
Hendricks was steady across the board in the competition and this allowed him to finish 122 points ahead of the second-place competitor. Sam finished in the top 10 in defenses (7th). His other finishes included: quarterbacks (22nd), running backs (13th), wide receivers (15th), tight ends (33rd), and kickers (11th). Due to a change in the scoring system this year, more weight was given to the lesser picks. This new system proved to be a boon for Hendricks and he was crowned Grand Champion.
As the "king" of this year's competition, Hendricks was awarded a large 19" football trophy worthy of any fine trophy case. The trophy was graciously donated to the Fantasy Index Open by Affordable Trophies (see photo on website). In addition, the winner of this competition also earns a berth in the sister competition, the Fantasy Index Experts Poll. Since Hendricks is already a member of the Experts Panel and has been in that competition for the past five years, his at-large berth will go to the second place finisher.
FOREST, VA. – March 8, 2013 – Extra Point Press, the self-publishing industry newcomer, is pleased to announce that it has extended the contract of its newest author in the fantasy sports realm, B. We believe that B.J.'s book has increased excitement about the fantasy sports publishing niche that we have created.” Fantasy Football for Winners: The Kick-ass Approach to Dominating Your League from the World's Foremost Fantasologist* (ISBN 9781936635115, $14.95), is a 250-page book on how to dominate and win your fantasy football league every year!
B.J. Rudell's career has included stints as a congressional aide, high school civics teacher, writer, editor, consultant, improv comedy performer and teacher. His first book, Only in New Hampshire, garnered national acclaim, through which he earned "Writer on the Rise" honors from Campaigns & Elections magazine, and for which he garnered more than 40 media appearances, including on CNN and Fox News.
In the fantasy world, B.J. has competed in 16 national fantasy sports competitions, finishing nine times in the top 0.11%--including two first place finishes over nearly 400,000 combined opponents. He lives in Washington, D.C. with his beautiful wife, Carey.
Fantasy Football for Winners has already received positive reviews. Bob Tewksbury, former MLB All-Star pitcher and current Boston Red Sox sport psychology coach, said “This book is perfectly written for the losers who waste time, energy and resources on something they will never, ever become: a GM of a pro football team.”
Award-winning designer Will Harding illustrated Fantasy Football for Winners. Harding was born and raised in Washington, D.C. He is proud to have worked with clients ranging from well-known startups to Fortune 500 brands. He is an artist who has shown locally and continues to pursue his goals as a painter.
When he isn't drawing or designing, Will is avidly searching for the best ways to win his hometown fantasy football league, aptly named The Degenerates, without drafting any players from the Washington Redskins' rivals. A graduate of Syracuse University (2003 National Champions), Will moved back to D.C. where he now resides with his lovely wife, Amanda.
